New for 2026

• Montréal! The Oireachtas moves to Montréal, Quebec, November 6–8, 2026.
• New registration platform. All registration is on Feis.link. Teachers register and pay for their school's dancers; parents create and maintain their dancer's account and select the dancer's school so the dancer appears on the teacher's roster.
• Solo Championships now begin at Under 6. New mixed championships for Under 6 and Under 7, with three light-shoe rounds (or an optional hard-shoe recall for Under 7).
• New Solo Championship Traditional Set competitions (Under 9 through Adult) for dancers entered in a Solo Championship — Under 9 dance a traditional set of their choice; Under 11 and older dance Jockey to the Fair.
• Premiere restructured. Premiere is now a Premiere Traditional Set from Under 8 through 14 & Over, plus Adult. The Under 5–Under 7 Premiere entry points have been transitioned to the Under 6 and Under 7 Solo Championships OR the Under 8 Premiere Traditional Set.
• No entry prerequisites for Premiere. The requirement to have competed at a sanctioned feis in the previous twelve months has been removed.
• All team competitions are judged by a panel of three (3) adjudicators.
• New Two-Hand and Three-Hand competitions — Mixed, dancing a 48-bar Reel, from Under 8 through 15 & Over, plus Adult (see Rule 16).
• Four-Hand: all Four Hand Reels. 2026 is an even calendar year, so all Four-Hand teams dance The Four Hand Reel (see Rule 17).
• The program book is digital only. A free electronic program book is released in the days leading up to the event; no printed books will be sold or produced.
• Competition codes. Every competition has a readable code (e.g. SC-15-G = Solo Championship · Under 15 · Girls; F4-12-X = 4-Hand · Under 12 · Mixed). Codes appear throughout this syllabus, on Feis.link, and in results.

Registration procedures

Rule 1 — Eligibility

1. Entries will only be accepted from teachers in good standing with the IDTACe, with correct assessments paid. All teachers' membership dues for a school must be paid in order for that school's entries to be processed.
2. Competitors must reside in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia or Newfoundland & Labrador. Exceptions are possible for team events with prior approval (see Rule 15).
3. Dancers must compete in their exact age group for Solo Championship and Premiere competitions. No dancer may be entered twice in the same competition.
4. Premiere entrants must be of Beginner, Advanced Beginner, Novice or Prizewinner level. There is no requirement to have competed at a sanctioned feis beforehand — the 2025 prior-feis prerequisites have been removed for 2026.
5. Dancers who achieve first, second, third, fourth, or fifth place in Premiere competitions, Under 10 and older, in previous years, are no longer eligible to compete in Premiere in subsequent years. This restriction shall apply only to competitions with ten (10) or more competitors.
6. All ages and levels are calculated as of January 1st, and birth years must be supplied to register for any competition. Falsification of identity, age, competitive status, or other pertinent details will result in disqualification.

Rule 2 — Entry submission

1. All entries must be made online at Feis.link. Registration for the Oireachtas is completed and paid by teachers; parents do not enter their own dancers.
2. Every dancer must have a Feis.link account, created and maintained by their parent or guardian (or by the dancer, if an adult), with the dancer's school selected on the profile. A dancer appears on their teacher's registration roster only once the school has been selected. Families who already have a Feis.link account must use their existing account — please do not create a new one.
3. Teachers must hold a verified Feis.link teacher account linked to their school. New teachers should request verification by emailing Feis.link at info@feis.link, well in advance of entries opening. Once verified, any teacher of a school may register that school's dancers.
4. Entries are assembled into a single cart and paid in one checkout. All fees are calculated automatically at checkout and shown before payment. Registration is not complete until payment has been received. Additional entries may be added in a further checkout at any time before the entry deadline; entries cannot be removed.
5. Dance selections (e.g. Premiere set choice, team dance choices) are locked once the entry is paid.
6. There are absolutely no refunds for any reason.

Rule 3 — Fees & deadlines

4. All fees are in Canadian dollars. No refunds for registration and/or family fees for any reason.

Rule 4 — Late entries

September 16–21, 2026: late entries are subject to a surcharge of 25% of the total entry fee. After September 21, 2026, no further changes or additions will be honoured.

Rule 5 — School assessments

1. A school assessment of $50 per registered dancer is charged to each school, with no exceptions. The assessment forms a per-school credit that the school reclaims by allocating it toward event items during registration on Feis.link, before payment:

Any unallocated balance automatically becomes a sponsorship of the event. Schools may allocate beyond their assessment credit and pay the difference at checkout.

2. Advertising: artwork must be submitted to the program coordinator at reillyirishdance@gmail.com by October 1, 2026. No refunds on advertising. Premium placements are arranged through the co-chairpersons. Placement requests will be noted where a school purchases multiple advertisements.
3. Céilí event tickets: $50 each; all ages welcome. Late orders through the co-chairpersons; payment due immediately; no refunds for unused tickets.

Rule 6 — Teacher volunteering

All IDTACe teachers must volunteer at the 2026 ECRO. A sign-up invitation will be sent within one month of the event. Teachers who fail to sign up, or to complete their assignment, will be fined.

Program books

The 2026 program book is digital only. A free electronic program book will be available in the days leading up to the event. There are no printed program books in 2026, and none will be sold at the event.

Competition age determination

Rule 7 — Age groups for 2026

Competition ages are determined by the dancer's age on January 1, 2026.

Rule 8 — Dancers 18 and older

A dancer who is eighteen (18) or older on January 1, 2026 belongs in exactly one of the following categories, aligned with the NAIDC and CNIDC syllabi:

1. Solo Championship — a dancer continuing in the regular Solo Championships registers in their exact age group as usual: a nineteen-year-old dances Ladies/Men Under 20, and dancers older than the last age-designated group dance in the & Over championships (SC-99-L, SC-99-M). All solo competitors dance within their own age group per current CLRG/IDTANA rules — turning 18 changes nothing by itself. (NAIDC 2026)
2. Adult Championship (SC-AC) — open to dancers who began competing as adults and progressed to championship level, or who competed as youths, have not competed in the past five (5) years except as an adult, and have never placed in the top three of a Preliminary Championship nor competed in Open Championship. (NAIDC & CNIDC 2026)
3. Advanced Adult Championship (SC-AA) — open to adult dancers who have previously placed in the top three of a Preliminary Championship or competed in Open Championship levels in the youth/& Over levels, regardless of when the competitor was active. (CNIDC 2026; carried from ECRO 2025)
4. An Advanced Adult dancer has opted to leave the youth/& Over categories: once the dancer begins competing in Advanced Adult, the dancer may not return to the youth/& Over categories. (NAIDC & CNIDC 2026)

Dancers 18 and older who are registered in the wrong competition may incur a penalty fee and/or be disqualified from the event with no refund.

Solo Championships

Rule 9 — Competitions & format

Each round is adjudicated by a panel of five (5) judges, dropping the highest and lowest Irish points earned — except the Under 6 and Under 7 championships, which are judged by a panel of three (3). All dancers must perform the dances specified in this syllabus.

Under 6 & Under 7 (mixed)

1. Under 6 is a 100% recall: every competitor returns for Round 3, so all Under 6 dancers perform all three rounds.
2. Under 7 follows the standard recall rule (Rule 10): 50% recall in competitions with twenty-one (21) or more dancers; 100% recall with twenty (20) or fewer.
3. Both competitions are judged by a panel of three (3) adjudicators.
4. Solo dresses are permitted in the Under 6 and Under 7 championships; the 2025 solo dress restriction applied to the retired U5/U6 Premiere competitions and does not carry over.

Girls & Ladies

Boys & Men

Adult Championships (mixed)

Adult status is defined in Rules 8 and 21. Round 2 is the dancer's choice of Slip Jig or Reel, declared at registration.

Rule 10 — Recalls

Fifty percent (50%) of each competition with twenty-one (21) or more competitors who actually dance (not the number entered) will be recalled to perform the Round 3 set dance, per current CLRG rules. For competitions with twenty (20) or fewer participating dancers, all will return to perform their set dance.

• Dancers in Under 8 and Under 9 competitions must perform a traditional set dance;
• Dancers in Under 10 competitions must perform a contemporary set dance in jig time (6/8);
• Dancers in Under 11 and older competitions may perform a set dance of their choosing;
• Adult Championship (SC-AC) recalled dancers perform a traditional set dance; Advanced Adult (SC-AA) recalled dancers perform a set dance of their choosing.

• Under 6 (SC-06) is a 100% recall — all competitors return for Round 3;
• Under 7 (SC-07) follows the standard 50% / 100% recall rule above.

Recalls do not apply to the single-dance Treble Reel, Traditional Set and Premiere competitions.

Rule 11 — World Championship qualification (solo)

1. Number of qualifiers. Five (5) qualifiers for the first twenty (20) dancers or part thereof, and one (1) qualifier for each subsequent ten (10) dancers or part thereof, in Solo Championships Under 10 and older — with the exception of Men 20 & Over, which is seven (7) qualifiers for the first twenty (20) dancers or part thereof and one (1) for each subsequent five (5) or part thereof. Qualifying places are based on the number of dancers who actually dance, not the number entered.
2. 2026 World medal holders carry their qualification forward. They are counted as participants but not as qualifiers: a medal holder who finishes in a qualifying position is skipped over and the place passes to the next dancer in the result. A medal holder who does not compete does not create an extra qualifying place.
3. Who must compete here to keep an existing qualification. World medal holders (other than World Champions) and dancers holding qualification from the NAIDC must participate in the corresponding Solo Championship at this Oireachtas in order to avail of their qualification. 2026 World Champions are exempt from this requirement, though they are still encouraged to compete.
4. Dancers unable to compete at the World Championships due to a judging conflict may defer their qualification to the following year, and the next-in-line dancer may be permitted to enter at the discretion of CLRG.

Qualification is governed by An Coimisiún le Rincí Gaelacha. This rule reflects the current Oireachtas Rince na Cruinne syllabus; where the 2027 syllabus differs once published, it governs.

Rule 12 — NAIDC qualification (solo)

Per IDTANA rules, the top ten (10) dancers plus twenty-five percent (25%) of the number of competitors who dance in Solo Championship events will qualify for the 2027 North American Irish Dance Championships, subject to being recalled at their regional Oireachtas. Dancers competing in Open Championships at sanctioned feiseanna also qualify, as do dancers who qualified for the 2026 NAIDC but could not compete due to judging conflicts. All entrants to the 2026 ECRO must accept that such judging conflicts may happen and understand their status could be deferred for one year. Dancers who will be in the U8 and U9 categories in 2027 may be entered into the 2027 NAIDC at their teacher's discretion.

Solo Championship specials

Rule 13 — Solo Championship Treble Reel

1. Open only to dancers registered in a Solo Championship (the Adult competition TR-AC is open to Adult and Advanced Adult Championship dancers), for an additional fee.
2. Dancers perform to sixteen (16) bars of music, one at a time, picking up immediately from the previous dancer. After the final dancer, all competitors join in for eight (8) bars of the group step.
3. Assessed by one (1) adjudicator.
4. Winners do not qualify for any future events. Results will be posted, and awards collected at event headquarters (see Rule 29).

Rule 14 — Solo Championship Traditional Set

1. Open only to dancers registered in a Solo Championship (the Adult competition TS-AC is open to Adult and Advanced Adult Championship dancers), for an additional fee.
2. Dancers perform one full traditional set dance, at traditional speed (see Rule 28), three (3) at a time:
   • Under 9 dancers perform a traditional set of their choice from the CLRG traditional set list; the selection is declared at registration and locked once paid.
   • Under 11 and older all perform Jockey to the Fair. Any traditional version of the dance is acceptable.
3. Assessed by one (1) adjudicator.
4. Winners do not qualify for any future events. Results will be posted, and awards collected at event headquarters (see Rule 29).

Team competitions

Rule 15 — Age groups & team composition

1. Céilí teams (Four-, Six- and Eight-Hand) perform the dances as detailed in Ar Rincí Céilí (2014 edition).
2. Dancers may compete in their own and/or the next higher age group; a dancer may not dance on more than one team in the same age category, and may not dance down an age group.
3. Team composition: at least 50% of a team must be from the proper age group; up to 50% may be from a lower age group; only 25% may repeat from a team in the lower age group. A dancer may repeat only once in a Two-Hand, once in a Three-Hand, once in a Four-Hand, once in a Six-Hand, and once in an Eight-Hand.
4. Written permission is required for exceptions to composition rules, and for out-of-region dancers to participate in team events, by September 10, 2026; responses by September 13, 2026. The Feis.link team builder validates composition as teams are assembled; where the teacher proceeds past a warning, they attest that the Regional Director's permission has been obtained, and that attestation is recorded with the entry.
5. Alternate dancers require a letter from the teacher or team captain to an Oireachtas Committee member (email is acceptable).
6. Eight-Hand teams comprised entirely of U8 dancers must compete U10 if they intend to participate in the forthcoming World Championships.
7. Judging: all team competitions are judged by a panel of three (3) adjudicators.

Rule 16 — Two-Hand & Three-Hand

1. New for 2026: Two-Hand and Three-Hand team competitions. All competitions are Mixed (open composition — no male minimum or maximum), Under 8 through 15 & Over, plus Adult.
2. Teams dance a Reel — 48 bars @ 113.
3. Judged by a panel of three (3) adjudicators; two (2) teams on stage at a time.
4. Team composition rules (Rule 15) apply, including the repeat limit: a dancer may repeat only once in a Two-Hand and once in a Three-Hand.
5. Two-Hand and Three-Hand are non-qualifying events — there are no Two- or Three-Hand competitions at the World Championships or the NAIDC.
6. Choreography may incorporate "freestyle" elements, including movements taken from solo steps and/or arm movements or other elements traditionally used in figure choreographies. These elements may be incorporated creatively into the overall Two- and Three-Hand choreographies.
7. Dancers must wear appropriate Irish dance competition attire. Acceptable costumes include team dresses and vests, school skirts with bodysuits, tunics, etc. Costumes should be coordinated as a team and be suitable for a competitive Irish dance performance.

Rule 17 — Four-Hand

1. 2026 is an even calendar year, so all Four-Hand teams dance The Four Hand Reel. (The Humours of Bandon is danced in odd calendar years.) The figure of choice is declared on the entry.
2. Two teams are on stage at a time. The top couple may choose the starting formation. Teams must perform the Lead, the Body, and the Figure of choice (Tops only).
3. Mixed teams must include at least one male dancer (maximum two).

Mixed

Rule 18 — Six-Hand

1. Teams dance either The Fairy Reel or The Duke Reel. One team is on stage at a time.
2. Fairy Reel: the starting formation is the team's choice; there is no official finish — teams may finish facing the adjudicators or the opposite line.
3. Duke Reel: teams must complete either the first or the second figure with all three combinations of couples.

4. "Mixed" in the Six-Hand competition titles means open composition — there is no male minimum or maximum.

Rule 19 — Eight-Hand

1. Teams choose from: Lannigan's Ball, Eight Hand Reel, Morris Reel, Cross Reel, Eight Hand Jig, St. Patrick's Day, Trip to the Cottage, High Cauled Cap, Sweets of May, The Three Tunes, Gates of Derry. One team is on stage at a time.
2. In round dances, Tops take their backs to the adjudicators; Gates of Derry may line up horizontally or vertically. Teams must perform the Lead, the Body, and the Figure of choice (Tops only).
3. Teams intending to compete at the World Championships must note the Worlds syllabus stipulations: Sweets of May — beginning through the end of the 2nd figure; The Three Tunes — beginning through the Hook and Chain; Gates of Derry — beginning through the swing-around of the 1st repeat; Lannigan's Ball — the entire dance. Teams that do not perform the dance as stipulated shall be disqualified per the ruling in the World Championship syllabus.
4. Mixed teams must include at least two male dancers (maximum four).

Rule 20 — Figure Choreography & Dance Drama

Please refer to the current World Championship syllabus for the rules pertaining to these events.

Rule 21 — Adult competitions

Adult competitions are confined to dancers eighteen (18) years of age and older who have not competed in solo or céilí, except as an adult, during the past five years (adult solo eligibility is defined in Rule 8). Team requirements are otherwise as in Rules 15–20. These are non-qualifying events, and team entries must be received from a registered IDTACe dancing school. All adult céilí competitions will have ladies' and mixed teams compete together; all adult solo competitions combine ladies and gentlemen in the same event.

Rule 22 — World Championship qualification (teams)

All Eight-Hand and mixed Four-Hand teams that participate (other than adult teams) are eligible to enter the 2027 World Championships in the closest appropriate age group. Dancers need not be the same people at both events, and teams do not need to place in order to register. Figure and Drama teams do not need to participate at an Oireachtas to compete at Worlds.

Rule 23 — NAIDC qualification (teams)

Teams do not need to participate in an Oireachtas to compete at the NAIDC.

Premiere competitions

Premiere competitions are for dancers of Beginner, Advanced Beginner, Novice or Prizewinner level (see Rule 1d) who are not entered in a Solo Championship.

Rule 24 — Premiere Traditional Set

1. Dancers perform one full traditional set dance of their choice from the approved list (see Rule 28), at traditional speed. The selection is declared at registration; once the entry is paid, dance selections cannot be changed.
2. Dancers perform three (3) at a time, with championship stage protocol: walk on, perform, bow, and walk back as the next group walks on; wait for the bell, bow again, and exit the opposite side.
3. Judged by a single panel of three (3) adjudicators.
4. Winners do not qualify for any future events.

Rule 25 — Premiere Treble Reel

1. Open to Premiere-level dancers for an additional fee; only dancers registered in a Premiere competition may enter.
2. Dancers perform to sixteen (16) bars of music, one at a time, picking up immediately from the previous dancer; after the final dancer, all competitors join in for eight (8) bars of the group step.
3. Assessed by one (1) adjudicator.
4. Winners do not qualify for any future events. Results will be posted, and awards collected at event headquarters (see Rule 29).

Rule 26 — Dancer status

Achievements in Premiere competitions do not affect a dancer's status for feiseanna, nor are there advancement opportunities toward future events (e.g. Worlds/NAIDC).

General rules

Rule 27 — Rotation

Competitor numbers must be collected before the first group takes the stage; uncollected numbers are destroyed and late arrivals are not permitted. Dancers dance in the published program order. Dancers whose numbers were collected but who are absent when called will be disqualified and may not dance later. Courtesy dances will not be permitted.

Rule 28 — Music

1. Sixteen (16) bars of music will be played before the start of each of the first two rounds of Solo Championship competitions. Dancers must commence dancing correctly after the appropriate introduction. It is the dancer's responsibility to ensure the correct music is announced and played.
2. Solo Championship speeds:

Set dances must be from the official CLRG set dance list, and tempos must be within official CLRG guidelines.

3. Traditional set dances (Solo Championship U8/U9 recall, Solo Championship Traditional Set, Premiere Traditional Set, Adult Championship recall) are danced at the traditional speeds:

4. Treble Reels (all Treble Reel competitions) are danced at 113.
5. Teams: teachers may request specific tempos for Six-Hand and Eight-Hand dances, or the actual music for the High Cauled Cap; otherwise tunes are played at 113.

Rule 29 — Awards

1. Award calculations are based on the number of participants who actually dance, rounded upward. All competitors receive a participation item.
2. Solo Championships: 33% of competitors are placed and receive a trophy or similar award. All recalled dancers receive a recall achievement medal.
3. Teams: with 1–4 teams competing, all are placed; with 5 or more, 50% are placed. Medals are awarded.
4. Premiere: 50% of competitors are placed; the top five receive sashes and the remaining placers receive medals.
5. Treble Reels and Solo Championship Traditional Sets: the winner will receive an award, medals to the top 50%. These are not presented on stage; results are posted and prizes collected at event headquarters. Results are sent to teachers within one week.
6. Solo, Team and Premiere awards are presented on stage at the end of each day. Dancers being presented on stage must be in full solo or team costume, including traditional soft shoes. Featured-dancer lists are posted for Team and Premiere ceremonies.
7. Round awards: all Solo Championships will include a first and second round award in addition to the overall result. One adjudicator will be randomly selected per round, and the dancers in the top half of that adjudicator's marks will be given a round award. Dancers who receive a round award will be notified.

Rule 30 — Timetable

The IDTACe reserves the right to limit, cancel, postpone, combine, or reschedule any event. Dancers must be prepared to dance up to sixty (60) minutes prior to their scheduled time. The final timetable will be posted to the event website, sent to teachers, included in the official digital program, and posted on site.

Rule 31 — Adjudication

All decisions made in accordance with Oireachtas and IDTACe rules are final. The adjudicators cannot be approached by anyone other than the Oireachtas Committee during events.

Rule 32 — Appeals

Written complaints must be lodged within one (1) hour of the incident, signed by the TCRG/complainant, with a $25.00 fee (returned if the appeal is upheld). No teacher may approach the tabulators for any reason without authorization from the Regional Director.

Rule 33 — Liability

The IDTACe, IDTANA, CLRG, TCRGs/ADCRGs, volunteers, and the Oireachtas venue and supporting staff will not be held responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage to property.

Rule 34 — Conduct

Damaging venue property or mischief will result in being barred from remaining events; dancers and parents are responsible for damages. Parents are responsible for their children's whereabouts at all times.

Rule 35 — Performance hall

Please remain seated during competitions and keep the hall quiet. Aisles must be kept clear per fire regulations. Outside alcohol is strictly forbidden (venue liquor license); outside food is discouraged. Please clean up and notify venue staff if bins are full. No saving seats. The front row is reserved for teachers only.

Rule 36 — Mishaps

1. A dancer who falls and recovers: the bell is rung; the result is unaffected.
2. A dancer who falls and does not recover: the bell is rung and the dancer has the opportunity to re-dance (a waiver may be required).
3. Slips and bumps: assessed by the adjudicators.
4. A dancer who fails to complete a round receives a raw score of 0 from each adjudicator; if this occurs in Round 1 or 2, the dancer is ineligible to recall.
5. A dancer who commences before or after the proper starting point receives a raw score of 0 from each adjudicator; if in Round 1 or 2, the dancer is ineligible to recall.
6. A dancer who loses a heel, toe piece, or shoe, or whose shoelace comes open: the bell is rung and the dancer may re-dance without penalty.
7. Loss of other supportive costume attire: assessed by the adjudicators.

Rule 37 — Re-dances

If a dancer is stopped in the last eight (8) bars of a dance, only the last eight bars are re-danced; otherwise the entire dance. Re-dances are scheduled no later than five (5) rotations after the mishap.

Rule 38 — Toe walks

Dancers up to and including Under 11 are prohibited from performing any movements en pointe (stationary or moving), commonly referred to as toe walks, blocks and/or toe stands.

Rule 39 — Makeup & facial tanner

For competitions Under 10 and younger: no makeup, false eyelashes, or tanner on faces. Parents/guardians or teachers will be contacted to remedy promptly.

Rule 40 — Changing & attire

No changing in the ballrooms. Dancers may not walk the premises in bloomers, sports tops, or otherwise unsuitable clothing. Dancers may not stand side-stage in the adjudicators' line of sight wearing school-identifying clothing (team dresses excluded). The venue is a shared public space: for child protection and safety, appropriate attire is required at all times. Any registered IDTACe teacher may request appropriate attire on any dancer.

Rule 41 — Solo costume rules (per the CLRG Official Rulebook)

1. Solo costumes (including headwear) worn in championship competitions must not include any "Identifying Designs". Dancers breaching this rule must be instructed to either amend or replace the costume in order to appear on stage to compete. Dancers who are unable to amend or replace the costume may still participate but will not be scored.
   • "Identifying Designs" are defined as any element on any costume worn in championship solo competitions identifying a status of achievement or an Irish dance competition award (i.e. globes).
   • "Championship" is defined as any preliminary or open championship competition adjudicated by a panel of minimum three adjudicators.
2. Solo costumes (including headwear) worn in championship competitions must not include any names or initials. Dancers breaching this rule must be instructed to either amend or replace the costume in order to appear on stage to compete. Dancers who are unable to amend or replace the costume may still participate, but will not be scored.

Videography & photography

Rule 42

Any unauthorized videography or photography capable of capturing a dancer's image whilst in motion — using electronic or manual devices of any kind (e.g. mobile phone, standard camera, video camcorder, commercial film), with or without enhancement — is expressly forbidden.

Rule 43

Photographs or videos taken at award ceremonies are for personal use only and may not be redistributed, sold, lent, or provided to third parties, nor used commercially, published, or posted to any website without the express written permission of the Oireachtas Committee and the parents/guardians of all dancers in the picture.

Rule 44

A professional photographer has been contracted for toe-point shots and award ceremonies. Participation in the event grants the IDTACe permission to use suitable photos for promotional purposes; families may opt out via the Oireachtas Committee.

Rule 45

The Eastern Canadian Oireachtas, operated by the Irish Dance Teachers Association of Canada – Eastern Region, has appointed an official photographer. Only the official photographer may capture dancers in motion; images may be used for marketing and promotion, including official websites and social media.

Rule 46

The Committee reserves the right to appoint other agents or photo-journalists on a case-by-case basis; journalists may apply to idtace@gmail.com. Exclusion requests should be directed to the event committee.

Rule 47

All other photographs are for personal use only and may not be sold, lent, provided to third parties, or used commercially without the express written permission of the Eastern Canadian Oireachtas / IDTACe.

Rule 48

No professional photography equipment is permitted in competition rooms unless cleared by the organizers. No zoom lenses greater than 70mm in the dance halls. No photo access on or near the stage during competitions.

Rule 49

Non-compliance with these rules may lead to expulsion from the premises.
